I present to you the coolest coming home outfit in the world, a baby Link from Legend of Zelda! An outfit I’ve had planned out since the beginning 1. You know you’re jealous.

A day late because I’m just awesome like that, but happy belated Valentine’s day. I know many people hate Valentine’s for one reason or another, most of them either being that it’s corporate or they are just a bit unhappy with life at the moment. As for me I enjoy Valentine’s day and most holidays because it gives me an excuse to decorate, be cute, or overdo things.
My Valentine’s day was wonderful in case you were wondering. Not because of anything special, but because it was the first day in a while that I’ve felt completely happy. My mood was very high and I felt great. I doubt it was because of Valentine’s day itself, but the event just happened to be yesterday and I enjoyed the hell out of it. I want to feel like this all the time. Full of energy and life. To look into the mirror like I did yesterday a few times and notice that I am pretty. 100% completely happy and satisfied.
Other than my mood yesterday was nice and not overdone. Jeremy and I drank some iced peanut butter cup mochas
. Went out to the mexican restaurant we love that’s an hour away and ate some delicious super nachos. Talked a bit and just enjoyed each others company like we normally do. We even managed to finalize a decision of something that was stressing us. So it was really nice.

I also found some cherry flavored M&M’s in the store so that’s awesome too.
Hopefully the rest of you had a pleasant day.
I have to admit that I never dreamed that most anyone would notice my absence on the internet and social networks. Sure maybe Colekinz who talks to me on a daily basis and maybe one or two other people, but not nearly the amount of people and messages that I received once I logged in online after a few days. I had a horde of e-mails, twitter mentions, facebook comments and messages, and even threats of phone calls. I was shocked to say the least and felt very loved at all the concern.
So what happened? Where was I? Did I go into labor? Are Jeremy, Vincent, and I okay? To answer the last two questions no I didn’t go into labor and yes everything with our family is great. Though we did find out yesterday that Vincent is still breech, but that’s another post I’ll be working on for Dear Vincent.
On Sunday night Jeremy and I decided that we were going to take a mini vacation to get away and relax. This started out because we had to travel two hours to repair our windshield and I mentioned how I wanted Schlotzskys (a craving I’ve had since the start of pregnancy) which was an additional forty-five minutes away. We decided it would just be nice to get away and not have to drive back that same night after all that running around so one thing led to another and we had planned a last minute mini-vacation!
Back in May of 2011 I mentioned how great our stay at the Hilton was during my diagnostic laproscopic surgery was. Keeping that in mind we decided to stay there again for our vacation and this time it was 10x better it seemed. Not having to get up and rush off to surgery probably helped, but it was wonderful and I wish we could just live there. It’s the most relaxed I’ve felt in a while.
While we didn’t do any over the top activities like sky-diving or hitting up theme parks we had a lot of fun. The first day we went to Best Buy and I envied the Canon Rebel T3i before Jeremy dragged me away to look at some of the games. After that we went to Barnes and Noble where I awed at all the people sitting around on their laptops, drinking Starbucks coffees, and just hanging out it seemed. I’ve never been to a Barnes and Noble store so it was a new experience, though not quite unlike going into Books-A-Million on our first date back in 2007, although I don’t recall seeing anyone with laptops back then in the store.
I have to admit, because of where we live everything closes at 5p.m so it was really hard to comprehend that these stores were open till 10PM. I kept worrying that they were closed when Jeremy would suggest going. It rocked though. I would love to live in a place where I could go out at night and do things if I wanted.
We ate a nomtastical dinner at Olive Garden and spent a wonderful evening in the lounge at the hotel. There was a huge group of Australians/English who were celebrating a birthday party there. They had wicker cowboy hats on and served cupcakes to their friends. It was fun and interesting to watch really.
Day two we spent a huge amount of time at the local mall. Doesn’t sound awesome but it’s something Jeremy and I never do. We saw an awesome fountain, found an aggressive fish that would come barreling out of his hide-y hole if Jeremy so much as pointed at him and hit the tank, got our hair cut (no more mullet head for me!), took compliments from the hair dressers who did not believe I was due in six weeks, giggled in Spencers, bought a new wardrobe for Jeremy, saw the saddest emptiest arcade ever that made us sad, and ate chocolate covered orange peels which were way more fantastic than one would think! Neither of us were starving but we ate at my number one pregnancy craving store, Schlotzskys, before returning to the hotel to relax in our room for a while playing the wii.
We decided to hit up the lounge again for drinks and people watching. Of course I just had ginger ale and Shirley Temples while Jeremy relaxed with his own drinks. It was an interesting evening and I loved it. We were surrounded with what seemed to be mature like-minded individuals and it made me feel like an adult. We don’t visit the bars around here because everyone seems to be stuck in the high school drama mindset, not to mention they are all smoking so ICK! So it was quite nice to do something like that and feel relaxed. I just wish we had a nice place like that around where we lived.
Overall the babymoon was great. Of course while I did say I was going to order room service I never did. I just couldn’t justify $7.00 oatmeal being delivered to the room. Just couldn’t do it. Instead though we enjoyed our Nick Lachey bartender at the lounge, Jesse the kickass barista at the espresso stand, the king size bed that was so comfortable that I wanted to strap it to the roof of the car, and our meals out on the town. It was a great weekend to relax and just get away.
Enjoy the photo spam! Just click the image to bring it up in a viewer.
Don’t you just adore the quick title I came up with to spam you with photos? I know there are a bunch of photo days running around but I don’t plan to make this a habit. Lately however I’ve just had nothing worth blogging about. My life is very simple and pretty routine. I wake up, make Jeremy’s lunch and coffee for work, shower, hop on the computer and zombie out for the rest of the day. Most days I’ll get up around 6PM and do a mini-workout, then plop back down until Jeremy gets home. Then it’s usually dinner, tv time, bed.
Very simple and aside from gushing about pregnancy related things there just isn’t much to talk about. So that’s why you’re in for photo spam instead of an awesome entry about how I fought ninjas and saved the world from gummy bear armies. ONWARD!

The beautiful cat above is one that we’ve noticed visits our house quite frequently. She’s very friendly (though a little skiddish) and likes to figure eight between your legs. She’s very large (look at her head and her paws, they are huge!) yet short. Her eyes are memorizing and I want to keep her! Sadly though she belongs to someone because she’s healthy and plump, wanting for not. We think the owners live down the block. *sigh* So pretty!

While the Chinese New Year was on the 23rd of January the actual zodiac calendar year doesn’t change until the first day of Tiger Month, which is February 4th 2012. This year will be the year of the Black Water Dragon. I myself am an Earth Dragon. I haven’t looked up the color yet but that’s because past the actual element part I begin to get confused with all the pillars and what not. What is your Chinese zodiac sign?

Can you guess what these last three photos are of and from?! If not they are part of Vincent’s nursery. From the beginning Jeremy and I planned on doing a Nintendo themed nursery. Granted it’s turned mostly into a “Mario” theme it’s still Nintendo and last night we started working on the actual drawing and painting bits! So far we have the awesome Letters of his name that I made, Yoshi with a baby Vincent (notice the V on the hat) yomming on a berry from the bush and a Goomba! Oh and a couple clouds. Far from complete but a great start.
So there you have it. Some awesome Wonderful Wednesday spam for you while I’m at the doctors for a general checkup on Vincent today. Hope you enjoyed!
